Sold as black line pikes. Looking for confirmation?

i just picked up a juvie pike sold as a red pike. but it looks identical to yours. i figured it wasn't a red and i'd just grow it up and see what it got.
don't mean to thread jack but i just id'ed my juvie as a venezuela from this thread.
i have mine in a 72g, do these guys get over a foot? it's eating broken up massivore now and getting along with everyone fine. really a cool fish.

Not positive on species but definitely not a Johanna IMO. They were also sold as black lined pike at my job. Don't worry Chaitika give them a week or two to adjust they will be cruising that tank like reef sharks. Very awesome species of Pike good luck
I have had a couple of these guys...sucks they loose so much color as they mature.

I had 6 of those last year. Two got killed by other in the group and the other 4 were sold off. I believe they are sp. Venezuela. Or at least they grew up to look that way.
