Black belts have thick and tall bodies as do most vieja spcs. Midas and trimacs also are really impresive bocourti also. If your looking for samll cichlids that are thick and tall sajica are both but in a smaller package there usually only 4 to 6 inches long.
yeah, trimacs and vieja's are my favorite so far,
got 3 vieja syns and three trimacs coming soon, so heres hoping they get real beefy.
is there any particular food i can give them to get the bulk up?
i will probly feed them on hikari, like bio gold, cichlid gold, sinking canivore and food sticks... unless there is a better feed or suppliment.

the thickest, bulkiest cichlids I've grown out so far are midas-types (currently have 2 very thick, very bulky male xiloaensis) and trimac. I grew out a festae pair for a few years and at 10" SL, proportionally the male wasn't nearly as thick as the trimac or midas-types I've grown out. Not to say he was slender at all...he was awesome, but not as thick as midas or trimac.
