Solo Fish for a 55

Hey~

I am cycling a 55 gal tank and wanted to know what would be a great aggro cichlid for a solo 55.....

Grammode
Red Terror
Cuban
Uro

I would like something not super common and Something that can stay there for a while, before I eventually (say a year) add a 210 gal to my basement fish room.


Don't flame me as I am asking for advice, I know that a 55 is not a long term home, just a larger Grow Out tank.....

well for something to fill out the 210, from that list, i'd do a rt, but in my personal choice, i'd do grammodes, being that they just kick ass.

Thank you! Remember that I am also thinking for down the road........I will keep this fish in a 55 for about a year (10 months) as I will be looking to add the bigger tank for my 40th birthday next feb.......

What makes you say the Grammode?? I am Mucho interested in them and was wondering.....Color?? Aggro?? what makes it that in YHO??

well the reasons a say grammodes, is that,
1st. not many people have these amazing cichlids, esspetially the big ones

2nd. for a fish that get only to 11-12", some can be crazy aggresive at times, though note that some are notorius for killing tankmates note the nick name (mini dovii)

3rd. these fish have asdonding colors, an amazing cichlid to look at when they mature.

there definetley one of my favs.

But just had a GT...........

My Bud has him now and he is sweet, but I am looking for a touch more uncommon.....

I Might go with a RT, but it is Petsmart......He most likley will be a Uro.

But I know that going in and think Uro's are super de duper cool!



Grammodes are just too hard to find! Cubans? even harder!
