Solo Fish for a 55

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Just seems too fragile for my taste. I travel and sometimes my Bro or my Daughter watch my fish. I'd be crushed if something happened the few days I may be gone. I'd have to call in a Emergency tank service.

I'd have my wife do it, but she has her hands full with the 2 Kids, 2 Dogs, 2 Cats, 4 Tanks, and a Full 50 Hour work week. :WHOA:

when i had my uro in a 55, he was totally nuts. he would attack anything that came near the glass and particularly disliked my soccer ball:ROFL:
i put him a 125 a couple months ago at about 7 inches and he has completely mellowed out

I really like my grammode and I have had him for about a year now. I didn't think that I would like him that much, just bought him cause I found a good deal. I started him out in a 55 and he has now moved into my aggressive 150 gallon tank.

I never see him do anything to any other fish, which includes a midas, an oscar, 2 flowerhorns, a lima shovelnose and a couple of other misc. fish, but he is the king of the tank. No one will mess with him and they all clear out wherever he swims. He is only about 4-1/2" now, I can't wait to get him larger.

TUIC had Grammodes yesterday when I looked... a nice Male and 5 Giant Danios to keep him moving around would be cool.

FWIW: Picked up 2x 2" Cubans last week and they are cool lil buggers! Anyone near Philly... http://www.aquariumcenter.biz/ had about 20 left at that time. $3.99.

Philly/NJ is a hell of a long drive for a Cuban! LOL! But I might have to think about it, I am leaning between a Grammode and a Uro.

I am going to go with a RT..........
