:ROFL:Aquarist beaten down by snails! Sorry. Just kidding. I have a tank that hasn't been planted in over a year, and snails still multiply in there. My fault really, I just ripped the plants out, did a water change, and called it a day. A real easy way to control them is with your siphon hose during water changes. Yep, just siphon the little buggers up. One will get stuck in there occasionally, but give the tube a smack, and the snail falls out. I like things that are easy. :D
Wouldn't this clog up the drain in the sink? if using a python. I am not aware of how big these snails are, so forgive me lol

Those little snails that "magically appear" in planted tanks are small. Even still, if I used a python, I would siphon them into a bucket, not "Python" them into the sink. I hook my siphon to a water hose, and run the other end of the hose out the door. IMO, Pythons are silly anyway. They use water to remove water from a tank. Good grief, that's the biggest waste of water ever! Might as well turn on your kitchen sink, and go watch TV for half an hour! :screwy:

the snails are about peas size, so yea...anyways, im still trying to figure out what fish eat dead snails that appears every now and then, is it ok to just leave them in there??:irked: and i think i can reach down if i dont mind getting my whole arm wet =D
and im on a low budget so a test kit for about 20-40 bucks is a big number for me, as i dont get allowance, i save up my own money for everything, suppose to teach me "responsibility" or sumthing like that

haha i feel that, it sucks having no money as a kid, i have a full time job and still living at home so i have a fare amount of disposable income but 20-40 is still hard for me to spend!
