There is actually a program in the Bahamas where lion fish are speared and fed to sharks, the hope is that sharks will target lionfish

Professional fish collectors used to grab lionfish by the cheekbones, this seems kind of risky to me, it should be noted lionfish supposedly taste great

They actually put on spearfishing contests around here for the Peacock Grouper locally know as Roi, they call the Roi Round-Up although I dont its gone on the last couple years. They are nearly all cigued out and no one dares eat them.

I've eaten a couple. Let me tell you it was REALLY good... Probably one of the best eating fish in terms of flavor and texture. Ciguatera is a toxin that builds up in you over time. I guess I haven't made it to that point yet... (Knock on wood). My bro used to spear monster roi's... Then give them to his boss to eat. Lol!
