Do your vipers drink from a water bowl or you have to mist them?

I ask as saw on some reptile show that the arboreals drink from water drops.

They will undoubtedly drink from a water dish Louie. I'm sure they like it humid so a fogger may be a necessity.
Let's see what the owner says.

I have seen them in the water once since i have had them but i dont think they drank from it although they probably would. I mist every day anyways so they do drink when i mist. I think they prefer it that way but i am not sure how much it matters.

He recently got them. They are nice looking.

Imagine you got plenty of snow?

Its cold here also at 59 degrees tonight . I turned on water heater for the turtles though no one does and they just "sleep" bottom of water on cold nights but under 65 degrees I put it on.

Okay so they do drink when you mist them. I saw that on reptile/viper type show.

Even in the zoo misting was how they drank.

You should try the airstone in the water dish trick. It's essentially a $6 fogger and will cover for you so you don't have to mist all the time.

2 feet of snow.:WHOA:
Told you LI was only worth missing in the summertime.:D

My Atheris do not drink from standing water dishes... The drink when misted... I actually use a hydration chamber twice a week to be sure they are taking in the proper amount of water... However, I offer a water dish but have never seen them drink from it in all the years I have kept them... They are a montain species that needs to be kept cool and humid... Its a bit of a tricky set up, but once you get it down it is pretty easy to maintain...

always love the scale of a bush vipers , nice pics
