SOME DOVII PICS

I had no idea the females were yellow! is that normal? I think I've only ever seen pics of juvies and adult males
they are simply beautiful, youre going to convert half the forum to Dovii love now

Costa Rican females are yellow and Nicaraguan females are more of a brown. They both have color in the face and fins, not as much of the males though.

Just to clarify there are "rare" cichlids out there but mostly due to import laws, not discovered yet or no desire in the trade. IMO If there known in the hobby you can find most.

Thanks for the comments fehllas. The colors were looking pretty good in some of the pics. You can see how much he will change in these pics.....he will alter his color in a matter of a sec. FWP there is always room for Dovii!! I'm not even sure what is "rare" anymore. It seems that people can find a lot of the cichlids whenever they want. Maybe less popular or well known species are not as common but there out there.

Good deal......you always need a back up ready to go. I know, I meant if there is a cichlid you want most can be found.
