You could try some of the Mbuna varieties or The variious African Peacocks. Male peacocks are easy to move and are usually peaceful with other fish. Another fun species are the Julidchromis all you need is a 3 or 4 foot tank a sand bottm and a bunch of make shift caves. One secret don't take out the juvies as they raise the fry.

sorry my first post may have come back as flippant, not my intention, after thousands of fry it becomes not how to get them to breed but how to get them to stop.

That's why they make such great live food factories.
