Some eventual Festae Parents

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Stunning. The colors are amazing compared to pre-spawn, especially the male.

It's crazy that they spawned with all those big predators in the tank. Are you going to just leave the fry, or are you planning to grow them out?

Congrats!! Pretty cool our pairs worked out so well and fairly quickly, too. My fry are probably around 1/4" inch now, so they grow decently quick but not amazingly so.

Aahhh he looks so good! I wish mine would eat enough to get that solid looking. I think the fact that they're spawning back to back is slowing mine down a bit.

Fantastic job with him!

Yeah he's a pretty regular eater at this point. Of course yesterday I moved him and his girl to a new tank to give them a better environment spawn.

Update on the Festae parents. Thanks again for the big boy in frame from RampageRR RampageRR .

[EDIT: Reading back through the thread. Have to ask how your Festae is MP_cichlid MP_cichlid ? Hope he's doing better. Also, I thought I nearly lost these two. Woke up one morning and both of these guys faces were totally cut up, eyes scratched over, scales missing, fins ripped and chewed off. Had to separate them, I think the male took the brunt of the fight but the female's fins were all tore up. After separating they both healed up and re-introduced and then had this spawn.
