No your Sen isn't choking. He is just trying to break the pellet up. Mine are about the same size as yours. Just break the pellets in half. I feed Hikari Sinking Carnivore and just snap them in half. Once they hit &"-8" they will be able to scarf them suckers down whole!! Mine also love the frozen beefheart, bloodworms and brine shrimp which are eaiser for them to handle. And really bulk them up, & grow them out fast!

Ok, good. So far my little guys are eating shrimp pellets, I didn't have enough cash to get any other food for them, how many pellets should I feed a day to each one?
Oh, and I "escape-proofed" my tank, just to be safe.
Well, the best way to judge is to drop a couple pellets in (literally a couple), wait for them to eat them, then drop a couple more in. Once you see a slight bulge in there stomache, you should stop. Then you'll know how much to feed them.
I'd feed twice a day, with a good 6 hours at least between each feeding.

The ony rock in my tank are either polyester resin or big smooth river rock lol. But that rock in my av does look so real.

It's so interesting to observe their behavior. They both sit under the same rock, then one swims around exploring and goes back to the rock. Then the other one will go play in water coming out of my filter. They've made the rock like a little base were they meet up and rest.
