Could you post pics of the gar? What have you been feeding it and how long have you had it? Where did you get it? Florida gar are my favorite species of gar, and I live in Syracuse so I might be willing to take it off your hands if it really is a platyrhincus...

the gar went off to a nice indoor pond to live with an alligator gar and some other prehistoric fish apparently.

everytime i try, they dont come out. my two large pacu are always on the move, which tends to keep the other guys swimming around unless hidden in plants or between two pots. he's most lkely around 6-7" more i look at him, and as i said, its a proven male, as he spawned atleast 2x with an old female red devil i had.
