Some fishing pictures from the past few days. Yes, I'm a sissy. I don't like to lip the bass with my bare hands....yet. I'm getting over my fear of their sandpaper like teeth. Caught them using a size 1 hook with a senko, texas-rigged, watermelon color.

I'm just again getting into fishing, and these are the first couple of bass that I have ever caught. I think they are good sized, but then I look online and see the HUGE hawgs that people pull out of the water, and laugh at my little dinks.

***edit

Any idea what the red spots on the tails are? On a local fishing forum, quite a few people have said that regardless of where they fish, some of the bass have them. Just recently too. ?????

Lol, I'll make no comment about the 'sissy' remark. Great catch.

LOL. The other morning when I went, I only caught 2 tiny ones, each about 6 inches or so. I tried to lip the first one, but he was thrashing around so bad that I put my gloves on to hold him like a normal fish. The second bass was alot more relaxed, so I was able to lip that one. It's not as bad as I thought it would be.

Not to freak you out or anything, but I have caught a few bass that have drawn blood by thrashing about and scraping a knuckle or two, but those are big guys, 20 inches plus. Not very common though. :D

yea every fish takes getting used to, first time I caught a bass I did the pick up the hook and shake technique:ROFL: Yea I was pretty young then. And pretty much first time I catch any fish I try to get used to holding them before I can hold them properly and remove a hook.

Glad you're getting into the bass fishing!

Haha I judge how good my day of bass fishing is by how tore up my thumbs are. After 30 or more bass they get quite raw!

The red sores look like the sores they get when they fan their beds.

Bass Thumb. :D
