yes ive raised every fish ive had from juvis, the red is about 6 inches n had her for a year n the blue 7 inches n had him for 14 months he wus a lil bigger then a fry when i got him like 3/4 of an inche when i got him
i say its male. the fish is covered in blue speckling. female can have blue speckling but usally loose all of it and the ones that dont loose it all usually just retain some on some of there fins. i think its a male brightly colored due to interaction with the ebjd. the dorsal doesnt really matter if its black or not as alot of us mfk members over the yrs have seen males when brightly colored carry a black dorsal as well as the females. let me ask you this when the festaes color dies down are the bars and black dorsal still there showing a more grey color or do they dissapear? if still present but are grey then id be inclined to say female but if they vanish then id say male.
