You guys wanted pics so here they are:

This is me coming home after a 4 day vacation to find most of my fish dead and the water all foul.

Heres the 20 tall tank I brought home from vacation with me that turned into an emergency tank.

The survivors

1 brichardi
2 lelupis
1 Albino BN Pleco
12 Julie fry

So there are still a little more fry in the tank but I'm not taking the time this late to pull the rest out.

This whole thing was my own fault. I had been over feeding so food would get to the fry. I should have separated them but they had no tank to move to yet. I left and didn't get I chance to siphon the tank before I left. I had a friend stay at the house and he definitely overfed as well. I lost almost $75 worth of fish over this stupid mistake. So here is the plan. Sell my survivors ( or just farm them out to good homes) once I know they are in good health and start new. Perhaps with some more colorful cichlids. I'll go back to tangs when I get my fish room. So any advice on where to go from here? Drain the tank? Just fill back with new water at it's current level? Idk. I'm so bummed. :(

Clean it well and refill.

yeah thats the plan.

All the fish I put in my emergency tank made it over night and are pretty active so I'm pretty happy about that.

will do. Thinking about switching lakes. Getting some more color. Any suggestions?

I got a couple yellow labs for ya if you go Malawi.

I may go cheap and easy for my 75 since it's in the middle of my house and I can stock it fast that way.. I have plans for a fish room after the new year. Plus if I go with cheap colorful community fish in the 75, my wife can get involved and enjoy it more therefore making my fish room easy to pull off. I still have a couple tanks I can do cichlids in though so I will probably do that for now. I appreciate all the advice everyone.
