Yes he gets along fine. In fact he goes through what appears to be a courtship ritual with her. I'ld like to see that cross. He startes with a much larger oscar and never had any trouble. He is not a bully but he won't back down either.
i love nics!!!!!!!!!!! i had 3 for over 2 1/2 years and recently traded them for more tank space. they lived very well with my colony of moba frontosa.......no problems.

From my experiece NO. I had an Oscar and a nic in a 75. Both about the same size about 5 inches. Came home from work one day and the Oscar was stripped of all his scales and the nic had shredded fins. Not sure if this is typical behavior since thats the only time I've ever had that combination in the tank before. Unfortuntaley I had to put down both fish. I seperated them into quartantine tanks but to no avail.
