Your FH looks alot like the one we have, but ours is only about 10-11" real fatty tho.

I havnt kept that many fish in my time, still in the planning stage of getting into the hobby, but Im always fascinated by our FH. He's always wanting to play (chasing your hand from side to side) and just last month he started doing flips spinning upside down (not sure if thats a good thing, but it seems like he does it to "showoff." ).
 
You certainly have managed to find some rare fish in Alaska. Are there good suppliers that ship there? Awesome loaches BTW!

The flipping is a normal action-
People have posted many vids across the web of interacting with their FH's......Chasing the hand is also a very normal reaction...Very personable fish with killer attitudes to boot....

All my stock has came from my LFS-I dont have fish shipped to me...Only a few times I have had this done...Mainly piranha's and the one time I had Li send my that Fh x BP cross that died on me....

I'm very picky when picking my stock/fish though...And see to beable to have the gift of picking out the nicer specimens.....

It would be nice though to see what I could do with a few quality specimens of things from people like rapps and uncle ned....Maybe a future project for me-Who knows....

Supplier wise-If I choose to have a fish shipped to me-They have to be willing to work with me on a few issues...If they do this for me-I will take care of them..One main supplier I would choose to use would be Nate...He takes care of me-And I take care of him...

But like stated-I only got 2 LFS's to choose from up here...All my stock has come from then or has been donated to me...

Yea, before we knew better, we used to try giving him "buddies" he'd terrorize them til they died, but oddly, he left the smallest guy alone. I like to think its a pride thing, leave one survivor to tell the story. ^^

Anyways, awsome collection you've had. Much envy *Hats off*

Yeah buddies dont go over to well with ones that have not been raised with mates....

Thanks for the kind words----I had many nice fish,and would like to think I'll get back in the game once again like I use to be....
