the tiles sink like rocks and fit nicely in place. I just had to trim 1/2" off the back tiles so they fit the inside dimensions of the tank (each tile is 12" x 12"). It is a 180g so the tank has 2 braces , but there is about 2' in between each brace so placing tht tiles in was a piece of cake.
