Definitely a rtc x tsn. Sorry to break it to you. Anyone else here have a MRTC still alive besides me? Mine is nearly 15". That's a beauty of a rtc x tsn hybrid though. Grow it out large. My 37" one is amazing. Look at my catfish bonanza thread for the latest pics of my MRTC.
Have any pics of it small?

thats what i was thinking too as my RTCxTSN was looking pretty much similar to your cat
but haven't seen a MRTC so.........
anyways
among all your cats i like the ARTC the most he looks beeeeeaautiful
great job with the ARTC
can you give me some pointers on ARTC keeping
i have one and he is pushing 3" now and is currently with a 2x 4"+ TSNs and 5"+ RTCxTSN
he normally hides but has a RTCs restless attitude at feeding time
comes out of his pipe and goes bonkers all around the tank

Yup. Thats about the size of mine. So now at least I have a better idea what to look for. We're going to try another distributor in 2 or 3 weeks, maybe they will have the real deal.

Um, not a lot of tips, make sure he has more than one good hiding spot, mine likes to switch back and forth throughout the day. So far he has only killed one of his tank mates, I haven't figured out why. Mine really does the most at night. He never seems to get full, I feed him massivore, peeled shrimp, rosies, comets, (they're meant for the other fish that won't take prepared, but he eats a ton of them. I used to feed him sinking cichlid food too.

Oh, mine has grown from 2.5" to ~13" in about a year, not the most astonishing growth rate, but not too shabby.

what are all the tankmates you have added

Right now he's very crowded, he's always grown up with hujeta gar. First one, then 2, then months later 3, then months later a 4th. He's pretty much always had a pleco in with him too. The one in with him now is about 6". Then I added an ID shark. He likes to take bites out of the ID from time to time. But the fins/tail grow back quickly. Then he got two scombs added. Lost one and added another. So far so good. When I move in a couple of weeks, I'm hoping to have a nice fat 150 or 200 gallon tank for him.
