I got him some months ago and I haven't seen anyone else with one. They are an amazing cat to have. Mine is very laid back, doesn't mess with his tank mates. Total opposite of what some sites say, and really active. I love him. And they stay on the smaller side, like 18-19"
 
Your right, there reputation is totally undeserved, size is quite a good thing to not getting to the massive proportions of some of the other monster cats. i had bout fifteen years ago got it to about 20" if a remember rightly, truly regret ever getting rid of it. :)
 
Aw, that's pretty awesome. I can't wait for mine to get of that size. He has grown really fast. This is one of my cats that I don't ever want to get rid of.
