There is a near ten inch kel in the same tank with the brok but it keeps behind the driftwood when I have the lights on.I also have a bahia which is being powerfed in it's own growout tank.I have lost a few but currently I have a total of four with the brok being my only non kelberi.

Thats awesome....I was pretty sure you had more cichla. ANy dithers in w/ the kel to help cax him outta hiding? ever think of taking out the decor to make him show himself off more?

Well,I've had a few since getting into cichla.I had an Azul that I got from Michael but I traded it for an armatus to Taintedglory...I got some orinos from Jimmie1974 but sold one and traded the other for a tig to Thatfishguy#7..I had a young tem that I sold to Southpaw..It might seem fickle of me to get these fish only to shortly pass them on but in my cichla journey I've come to a point where the kelberi are what I'm really into but unfortunately, have had the worst luck with.....I lost two young Sharkaquarium bahia over the past three months as well as the beautiful kelberi that got sick while I was on vacation over the summer..Out of all that I've had, that was the one I was most proud of .....The kel in the photo is a recent pick up from Sixpack.

nice bro. Is that alittle gill rot i see on the second pic?
Thanks Jimmie,I think it's more like damage from possibly fighting with another fish.It was that way when I picked it up and it looks better now.I had to fatten him up some.

I'll try and get a shot of the bahia growout and coax my ten incher out for a picture.

the lurker.

baby bahia, stressed now because I moved his log.

nowhere to hide

I added the thin kel here for a group shot.

I removed the two driftwood pieces in the big tank and dropped the thin kel in order to get better pics but it's still rough with a cellphone. The last shot would have been nice if not for the blur.
