beautiful C. minuano!

Thanks, I got that pair from Ken Davis. They are really great fish and not aggressive at all. I have them with gymno's and a dimmerus. I highly recommend them.

full tank shot of the discus please and thank you son.

Here is picture of the discus tank. The info in my signature is not correct. I haven't updated it in a long time. I have several other tanks running and the fish listed to the tanks is not correct. I used to have the discus in a heavily planted setup but switched because I was having touble keeping the nutrients high enough for the plants to thrive and the water clean enough for the discus. I really just had too many discus in the tank for a planted tank.

Old planted setup

Current lightly planted setup

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, nice DW, looks great. I wouldnt call the first tank highly planted for a discus by anymeans this was my old one (before it became home for my more unfriendly friends)

Thanks Peter, it is about 5 inches and pretty aggressive to my other geo's. I've got several large pieces of driftwood curing, so I'll have some new decor in about a month.

hmmmm...that's not good...Japes said similar things about heckelii...I'm worried about the juvies I'm growing out :(

How's the EBJD? I though they were too aggressive for my wimpy SAs and sold my trio...stupid decision...may have to start over...

And what are those tapajos severums (species)? Very nice markings...

The EBJD is a complete push over. Never messes with anyone. He has his little spot in the tank and is never a problem. I think the Geo's you are talking about are the altifrons. I have a pair of larger ones and some juvies growing in that tank along with a young trio of pindares. I got the larger ones from titansfever83 and I don't remember the local. He still has some of them though and could tell you.

The Heckelii are definately the most aggressive out of my eartheaters. It is constantly nipping at the altifrons. It does not mess with anything other then the geo's though.

Do you still have your escondido's?

So you meant "Tapajos and severums", not "Tapajos severums"? They look really good.

Yes I still have the escondido as a wet pet. It's close to 4" now and living in a 20g (bad...I know...need to make a decision soon). It looked bored so I threw in a 1" female con last week for it to "play with". Guess what - she's still alive and they actually hang out together! :grinno:
