What is the cat with the large spot on the side in the 15th pic? My husband bought one of these and I don't know anything about them. He was told it was a "gold ring catfish".
Nice, I just finished an 800 gallon for my tiger shovelnose... BTW, I love the marble cat, How many do you have eating from your hand? The marble and the red tail should be easy to train, After six months, my tiger shovelnose finally doesn't run when my hand goes in the tank
Awsome collection of catfish. I have a couple of those myself and I'm looking for a couple of them. Might I make a suggestion for one more tank mate. I believe that it is an perfect addition to any South American catfish tank. it's the Oxydoras Niger. If you don't know what they look like look it up they are awsome. The Fort Worth Zoo in Texas has some giants of these about 7ft and bigger around then me... Just my opinion but do check them out..
5000 is to small, the gallons rouphly for my indoor pond is 17,000.

Um.... you're a little off there on your calculations... That tank you describe or indoor pond if you will is only 1795.32 gallons. Not nearly big enough in my opinion. To get 17,000 gallons the tank would have to be 20 foot from left to right, 12 foot from front to back and 9 1/2 feet from top to bottom. Here, this will help.....
