Some folks were interested in the pics of the Jaguar Guapote I caught in Miami.....thought I'd repost it in the fishing forum along with some of the other fish we caught and I wish I had in the tank.......

Do you mind sharing the location? I'm going to spend a couple weeks in FL coming up and I'd love to catch some exotic invasives.

Nice fish! I like the jag... haven't caught one yet, only cichlids I have caught are mayans.

Great looking Jag. IMO pound for pound they are the hardest fighting cichlid .
However I have never caught adult Myans only small and never caught adult Jack Dempsey but compared to Oscars-Talipia and peacock bass similiar size find the Jag is best fighter.
I have only caught 3 as big as yours in over a year but countless 6 inchers like this one.
I catch and release like you also was going today but its 65 degrees to chilly.
