Have you ever bred your emperors?
Thankyou
Nope I've never been stung. I only recently got thee scorps so I've not bred them but hope to in the next year or two.

You do have to be very careful with them. The Emperor Scorpions (the large black ones) are pretty much the most docile. Like the Chile Rose Hair of Tarantulas. If you 'pick' them up, they do become defensive. I pick them up just behind their sting and then place them on my hand. Sometimes they will still be a little argumentitive and pinch you, but they don't sting. I can touch my Emperor Scorpions anywhere, and they won't sting unless pushed. Saying that, all are individuals and two of the Emperor Scorpions get startled easily and are quick to sting.
The main thing with Emperors is that they do a funny walk sometimes where they swing their tail, and sometimes when relaxing, hold it to the side of the body..in this case you have to be very careful they do not catch you with their stings by accident.
The Israeli Gold Scorpions are very aggressive. If startled they do like to chase you lol, and won't even bother pincing you, they just sting. But once placed on your hand they walk about without a care in the world. You still have to be very careful with them as they have a more powerful sting.
I also have a Desert Hairy Scorpion, who, contrary to popular belief is more nervous and skittish than aggressive. He will run away before stinging. I have handled him without much problem, but he will freak out if you move. I've decided that since handling stresses him out, I just won't handle him anymore.
I can honestly say I've found a scorp will pinch you most times over stinging.

Yes they will continue to glow, but it is EXTREMELY bad for them. Its a constant stress for them. Most scorpions are nocturnal, and as we all know, there is no bright sunshine in the middle of the night. Being under a very bright light such as a UV even for more than say an hour, will hinder their health. I've never personally tried it, and probably won't. I've seen the pictures and its very cool, and even though I know it won't hurt them for a few minutes, I just don't see the need. I've seen the pics whats so different in person lol? I did see it once at an aquarium, and tbh it wasn't that big of a deal. The aquarium stopped doing it once they found out how harmful it can be in prelonged periods (they used to do it all day) which is good news they were prepared to learn.
I prefer handling scorpions to tarantulas because IMO and from my experience (15 tarantulas and 7 scorps) tarantulas are almost 100% more unpredictable
Thanks for all the questions, if I've missed any out I'll answer them soon or pm me
