Some of my Wolves

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Awesome wolves! Is the first pic the lac? Gold wolf looking good. It'd be cool to have a pack of say 12 in like a 600 gallon planted tank with some malas and pike cichlids, it'd be like the wild lol.

Yeh some sort of sp hehe. The gold is strait monster... Its like a bass... always freaking hungry LOL.

That's not the lac its the other hoplias sp.

I'd be concerned about the gold wolves and the pikes fighting but maybe if it was a 240 and u crowded them African cichlid style it could work

Looking good man, gold wolves sound tempting from what u say but I'm really in love with the lacerdae from Wes. Really nice little guy mines about 3 inches he resides in a growout 10 gallon and he's really well tempered and waits for everyone to be finished eating before he eats. Doesn't bother anyone either... Hope it stays that way lol

Thanks!!! Should get the gold and go premium hhaha. You will regret it if ya dont get one. For personality they are awesome. Really freaking active and not a log or squishy rock lol. this guy literally jumps for his food.(Just as wes states. no joke!)

For the Lacerdae i dont know how yours is well tempered.... mine is a total little ****. I have him with yo yo loaches that 2" bigger them him and he bites them and chases them away from the food. LOL asserts himself to the front or well first.

The gold looks great, and with a personality as described, you're making me jealous lol. And great lac, good to see him on a full belly lol. And does he not play well with others?

Is your unitaeniatus with any tank mates? If so I might just have to get one...

My lacerdae is kept with a argentine big head dorado, pbass, opsariichthys, giant danios, and pbass all the same size. No bottom dwellers either maybe that's why. Sometimes during a feeding frenzy he'll come to the top and someone will usually chase him (usually the dorado or danios) back to the bottom, pretty funny to watch. When they're all done eating the lac will hover to the top and eat. Pretty fun. Slow eater too or I guess slow compared to the fish I have with him lol that one opsariichthys undescribed from Wes hits food harder than any bass or dorado lol

Funny how the danios chase the lac down to the bottom. Too bad the tides will turn one day for them.

Lmao I hope not those boys are 3 years old haha. Giant danios and barilius sp are one of the most underrated fish out there... Enough of derailing exotics greens thread though lol. Can't believe his is mean. Mine doesn't even open its mouth unless there's food. Even so it does very cautiously but sure can eat a lot till its little belly is full

I know when I was answering the thread about the lac tankmates I thought about that and then wrote the specific specimen dependency thing.

right now.. none. I plan on moving this hyper active guy with pbass, dats, and the other wolf i have. Once i Move out the 2 big threats to the gold. them i am going to add him to the tank. The gold has put on some size. but his neighbor is a red wolf. Some how the divider went down. and the red got his whole head chewed. this happen a few weeks back. the red is 100% healed up now.

For the Lacerdae I am just waiting to get a 20L and add him and the yo yo loaches. Also a tiny front and a growout Peru mono i have. hoping the little Lac is not a Ahole to them hehe

Can you tell us more about the wolf in the 2nd pic?

:)
