I've seen a lot of pacus. People in Hawaii get Pacus probably because piranhas are illegal. They just always seemed peaceful when I saw them. But then again I guess you could also say sharks look peaceful when they're homing in on some chow.

a pacu could leve marks in a knife. my pacu bit his filter return and took out a hunk and hes still less than six inches.

I know larger ones can remove fingers. So not to be underestimated.

I was born and grew up near this river. Any fish from tropical waters would never survive the winter in the Catawba River anyway.
