Some people don't deserve fish!

So I went to get some Blue Dragon Flowerhorn fry, and they were nice, and $5 ea. As I'm talking to the guy, he says he has a Severum that has fin rot, and isn't geting any better. He tells me that he is in his own tank, being treated, and he probably won't make it, so he is probably going to flush it. I offered to take it, I have a QT setup right now. He went inside to talk to someone, came out and told me I can have him for $10. I told him there was no way I was paying for a sick fish, and the only reason I offered, is because he was going to flush him. If the transaction for the FH wasn't done, I wouldn't have gone through with it. Some people are just so money hungry that they don't deserve fish.
 
maybe he was a really poor guy and was on a poor salary?
 
He appeared to be a teenager living in his parents home. How poor do you have to be to flush a fish instead of giving it away to someone who will try to heal it. I just gave him $40 for 8 FH fry.

I can't belive the guy wanted to charge you for a fish he was basically going to kill anyway. That's just not cool.

You know, I didn't think people flushed fish anymore. It still amazes me. I guess I'm used to hanging out here were people try their best to help sick fish or if all else fails freeze them after using clove oil.
 
ive only ever flushed one fish. A dam convict that my brother bought for his tank from a LFS where it was labeled "rescued" aka "Son of a B****!". It beat the crap out of his firemouth, oscar, dempsey, polypterous, and green terror. It was the only fish that didnt have shredded fins. No LFS would take it. If the tank hadnt been in a different state I would have made him visit my mature oscar and see whose top dog.
 
Should have given him multiple swirlies while screaming "HOW DO YOU LIKE IT"
 
Its a bit immature to be angry at a convict for being a convict. It reflects more on you for just chucking any fish together without bothering to find out what they are about. Would you be mad at a pirhana for eating your other fish? That con did not deserve to be flushed for your mistake!
