Its a bit immature to be angry at a convict for being a convict. It reflects more on you for just chucking any fish together without bothering to find out what they are about. Would you be mad at a pirhana for eating your other fish? That con did not deserve to be flushed for your mistake!

I had a similar experience with my local Petco. Someone brought in a 5" severum that had the holy crap beat out of it, poor thing was about dead. I inquired about it, the employee said I could have it for a 10 dollar adoption fee.

Read again bud. I didnt buy the fish and no store would take it. It wasnt the first thing I did. I added deco to help create territories, I rearranged things in the tank, I lowered the temp but nothing worked. I felt bad but what else was I supposed to do? Wait for it to pluck out the eyes of a few other fish? Maybe let it kill a few of em? Give it to some other unsuspecting fish keeper so it can mangle their fish? Cause no one would take it if they knew its temperament. I did what had to be done to save multiple other fish that all got along.

yup there are such idiots who often would let the fish die and lose money rather than give the fish for less money
as there was this little jewel chiclid in a tank filled to the brim with ID sharks, so dirty was the tank, and the jewel was so totally faded and skinny, it wasn't even active, when i enquired about the fish , he said it was for 1.5$ now i know its not much, but here in india that is an exorbitant price for a jewel of 1.5", but i did buy t and now it is doing fine all bulked up

Sorry lads...I shouldnt post late at night... I came over all emotional! The story about the flowerhorn made me angry and cons are my fav fish! They are bad boys though. Its difficult enough to keep them with each other. I use mine as feeders as if I have anymore than three pairs in the pond at a time, urban warfare breaks out...

What I was trying to say was its not their fault so you shouldnt be angry with them, but if they are killing your other fish of course you need to take action. If you dont have another tank, cant find anyone who wants it, then its had its chips. I would prefer to feed it to another fish than flush it, but I do agree with headbanger that you should kill the fish first.

Sorry fish eat fish for being an arse about it...
