In some situations pictured in this post jaguar cichlids an other fish can work. I have tried in a 6ft and a 8ft and the male beat the hell out of the tinfoils and central american cichlids. I found the fry aggressive at 2" the attack bigger convicts.


By the way thats a nice trimac you have got there... in that pic... and your jag is stunning.

I also thought the price was a bit high.. my lfs sells them for 3-4 quid at that siz.

Jags are not that aggressive, or what iv seen of them
i have had jags in with other fish with out any probs (apart from my breeding female)


in this 4x2x2 tank i had a male jag of 9inches living with -
4x pictus cats
1x m.pim same size as the pictus
2x small cons (whitch you can see at the front of the tank)
and some plecs

1x 7-8inch gold saum
2x 1-2inch dovii
2x 2-3inch JD's
4x pictus cats
2x 4lined pictus
