The funny thing is Apple seems to think they can patent a rectangle. It's a phone. What else is it supposed to look like? What about TVs? Microwaves? Toasters? They all look alike. But you don't see them suing each other. If anybody is the queen of rip-offs it's Apple. They stole various ideas from all over the place and took credit for it all. As Steve said it himself: "Good artists copy. Great artists steal." So then...what's the problem?
How can a company copy Apple when they come out with features and designs long before Apple did? It's not even funny how many Android features have been copied by Apple in their latest iOS versions.
the back and forth could go on all day long, so I'll just say that I don't know enough about each point to get into this.. and I won't defend Jobs' ethics either because I'm sure he did a lot of questionable things. My point was that Apple put things together first, whether through 'stolen' ideas or not, into a simple to use, reliable product.
BUT as a consumer if I have a choice between an ipod or a zune, which one should I go with for the best long term value of my dollar?
