That is one big *** oscar, and thick too. Love the color on that guy aswell. About how big is that guy, age?
 
nice, don't think i've ever seen one that big that still had that much color on it.........

He actually had that when he was a little guy. You couldn't see it as much as you do now. I thought that he was maybe healing as well, but it never went away.

To answer you questions...he's just shy of 15" and is 4 years old. He had quite the growth spurt when I bought him. I started him out in my 55 gallon grow-out tank and within no time he was moved into a 150...where he is today.

When I bought him he had a great covering of color, but not very intense so I put him on a diet of Hikari Gold (of course), krill, shrimp pellets, and the occasional shiner from the bait store. After a couple of months he developed that coloration and he hasn't dulled a bit.

If anyone has pics of their guys I would love to see them!!!
