WOW WOW WOW! Awesome looking pond! Great job!

That was really an amazing inspiration :)

I asked about the rocks because I've heard that its a new thing some places to sculpture big face rocks. But nothing beats the real thing

But You had to seal the sement to keep the bad stuffs to reach the pond (?)
What did you use?

Seriously, You should take a fee and make it a touristattraction :D

absoulutly stunning!. this will be my reference when i build my pond, how long did it take?? well amazing pond set up and the best of luck to you with those herons

A cement sealer was used (sprayed on). However, due to the intricate rockwork, not all the surface was properly sealed.

Hence, had huge problems with rising ph; it consistently climbs up to 9!!!

I don't know if my solution is the best, but everytime the ph climbs too high, I slowly drip in very diluted hydrochloric acid to bring it down. Commercial ph adjusters costs too much for a pond this size. If anyone has any suggestions, it'll be greatly appreciated.

Hopefully, the cement will cure in the next month or so. Did lose a few fish in the beginning.

It took four guys 7 weeks to complete.

About the herons, I'll probaly just fork out the bucks to buy fish too big for them to eat in the future. The ones I had in the growout pond were only 2-3 inches.:(

Unless someone with a gun wants to practice target shooting?:naughty:

keep some fish that will eat the herons :D that is a great looking pond mate, its different from your average pond, and it is all the better for it

I have fantasies about the day the herons' heads get bitten off when they find my alligator gars waiting for them.:)

That is one CLEAN pond! Great looking setup I want to do something massive like that when I get my own place next year on a couple acres. Probably a bad subject but if you don't mind me asking...how much roughly were you looking at price wise? I really like the 2 mountain setup I was looking into doing a similar setup but without the stream running down the side, I wanted to set it up just coming down the side of the rock. Heres a couple pics of the mountain setup I looked into they were from a villa in Italy. Sweet setup! ~Trent
