Wow! How many?

Fish and gallons...

Thanks for the reply Warborg

40 fish at the moment and when we moved them we took some measurements and came up with an average lenght of 17 inches the largest is about 24 and the smallest about 12
This pond is about 2000 gal including filtration I am hoping to have them in there newly renervated pond in the next couple of months.

Thanks Guys,
Nothing gives greater pleasure than to sit and watch them.
Its probalby why everything takes so long to get done around here.

oh to have a yard I could do that in. I just recently bought my first 2 Koi. a white butterfly and an orange with a spot of brown on his head. Both came from petsmart as sm butterfly Koi. $8.99. No measurements taken but i am certain they have grown an inch in the last 2 months. My mistake was not really understanding the size they grow. I am now working on setting up a 55 gal for them. then a 125 gal and then with all luck a place with a yard for that pond. beautiful koi. thanks for sharing. Keeping my dreams alive. :)

worse case I will find a home before they get uncomfortable.

Glad your upgrading that's a massive stocking, but still water looks clear and good healthy fish.

Thanks for sharing them.

nice stocking there healthy looking and water is clear. Be sure to post up the new build.

Thanks guys
They all came from my 10 000 gal pond which is empty for renovation.
This pond is way over filtered 275 gal tote with brushes for settlement
to 3 55 gal moving bed filters with 125ltrs of K1 in each. i am flowing about 4500 gal an hour through there.
For fines i am running 2000 gal an hour through a sand and gravel filter.
I am also running a constant flow trough of about 125 gal a day.
Plus i am running about 80 ltrs a min of air through 2 9 inch diffusers.
The fish seem happy feed like pigs and have show some good growth even with the high stock rate.
it will be a big relief when then back in the big pond though
