Like that trimac what's his aggression like towards your other cichlids.

Short answer, very aggressive!

He is very responsive, will eat out of my hand, bite me when I reach into the tank. He comes out of the water after crickets and even pellets.

I grew him and a female out seperately then put them together. They immediately spawned. After about a week I removed the fry to put them in a seperate tank. Well the male wanted more and continued the rough breeding ritual and killed the female. He was by himself for several months, until I recently shut down a couple of tanks to reduce maintenance.

Now he is in a 180 gal with a male convict and a small female texas. Before putting them in, I rearranged the tank and made a couple of small caves they could hide in. After some initial chasing, The trimac doesn't bother them anymore. They could disappear any day, but right now he seems to enjoy the company.

The female trimac I had killed a male Jag bigger than she was. After they lip locked the trimac started spinning and broke the Jag's jaw so he couldn't eat anymore. It happened so fast I didn't have time to seperate them. I even had to remove the silver dollars I had with her.

wow he might even try to spawn with ure female texas
