No aggression? Were you able to get the pickerel off of live food? You telling me this makes me want a pickerel

I never tried to get it off live food. I'm a strong believer that predators are healthier and happier. I have fed it worms and it took them. Also once it took some frozen shrimp I held at the surface.

What kind of darter? Looks like a variegate but I'm not really familiar with them.
