well, part of your plants probelm is that they are still converting from being emersed to submerged.
Wistera can be grown floating or rooted, I keep mine rooted though, just a personal preference. Once your stems take off, they will grow like there is no tomorrow. The plant will be healthier once the new growth starts having finer leafs, just google a picture of hygrophilia difformis and you will see the difference.
Give it time and it will flourish.
