Some questions about spotted gar?

Oh, so around 1- 2 inches per month, hm...that's very hard to catch up to my silver aro and giant snakehead..lol..

a gar with a silver aro and a giant SH is a disaster waiting to happen.

how big is the silv and gsh? at the size your gar is it's best to keep him in a 2x1x1 and slowly step up the size of the tank as your gar grows. the combinations you want are not impossible, but aren't advised, especially the gar with the giant sh. if you really want to mix them, for the sake of the gar i suggest you grow it out on it's own till it can hold it's own before mixing mixing it w the silv. be sure to keep a close eye on them. also try to keep startling them to a minimum. based on what it seems your sh already has some decent size more than the gar and the combination is unlikely to work..

Keeping a Giant Snakehead with a Florida/Spotted Gar is idiotic. That fish will devour the gar.

a gar can be kept with a giant snakehead as long as they stay around the same size.
which is IMPOSSIBLE.
1.the SH is already bigger than the gar right?
2.the gar will only be able to catch up in a few years time.
3.by then the snakehead would become so used to being alone and it will become very territorial.

He has a Florida/Spotted Gar...that is not going to get anywhere near the size of a Giant Snakehead. It wont work.

a giant snakehead will get around 24-30 inches.
so,yes,you are correct it will never grow to the same size as a giant snakehead.

Ive seen full grown Giant Snakeheads (they were slightly over 30"), but they were damn near as big around as my leg. Thier overall girth dwarfs that of a Florida Gar. I have seen Alligator Gar with Giant Snakeheads, but a Florida would likely become a quick meal.

I'm currently keeping a Silver Arowana with my gar. The aro is always on the recieving end of aggression. This is my 4th time trying the combo and the aro finally seems to be holding it's place. Every other time i tried it my Tropical Gar just tore it apart.

A Silver Arowana may not be advisable, but a Giant Snakehead is totally out of the question.
