Some questions but mainly on food...

1. SW and MP until he's put on some size. In my experience, silvers are the easiest to train onto pellets. Just starve for a few days and soak the pellets in MP juice. Once he puts on some size, the occasional feeder frog (provided it's been in QT for some time) is great for putting on size and improving colour.

2. Black background

3. Black sand.

how do they sting?? I'm not sure if mines a bullhead though.. All i know it is clarias something with an extended dorsal fin...
not an expert on catfish but i know bullheads sting with either their barbs or a fin. feels like a wasp sting at 2 inches. i have a tank with over 30 of them and i got stung during a water change. that crap hurts. i dont think your fish would like it much

You getting a fgt with glass panel or juz a fgt?

For my personal preference I would actually go for light blue background.

But having to choose from black or white...I would go for black.

As for the sand base...I wouldn't recommend them unless you are rearing rays.

Food for your aro...It should be quite easy to convert your silver to take pellets. Try starving them for a week or so. It will most probably work since it is still young.

Cheers

My arowana is already 13"... Kept him since he was 4"... The glass panel is optional but I'm thinking of going for it... It'll be easier to photograph my fish... I think I wanna sell the silver arowana if I'm having an african arowana... But I'll have to see if I'm able to keep such an oddball...
