You will need a sump. lol

The plumbing is not too expensive. Keep the elbows and connections to a minimum to save costs. Those $1 pieces add up quick. I would also put a valve on the return to control flow.

make the spraybar out of PVC...it's super easy, you should be able to figure it out.

The pump you linked to is fairly cheap, but inefficient. A quietone 4000 pumps 200 GPH less but uses half the wattage.

ok obviously i need a sump, i meant as far as tubing or anything else i am unaware of
also im not sure how efficient it is, is it a big deal, i.e. how much $ a month would it be costing me over something more efficient?

Sumps are about as efficient as you get. All you need for a sump.

1. Overflow box
2. Sump itself
3. Pumbing/hose for overflow box to sump
4. Plumbing/hose for pump return to tank
5. Pump

I agree, spray bars can be made from PVC for a very minimal cost.

I was wondering if the links that I posted included the piping required? I wasn't sure
Also where can iget egg crate?

Egg crate can be bought at the hardware store in the lighting section. You can ask for light diffuser.

I don't think that the pump comes with the plumbing to get water back into the tank, but it appears as though the HOB overflow does come with the necessary tubing.
