There is no size limit for striper in KY!

Ooops, guess I got the scup wrong...

I didn't know about the stripers in KY but I know here in MA they're wicked strict on them, they have to be 28" and theres a limit of 2.

No, they are not scup / porgies. I don't think they are sheepshead either. What were you told they are?

I fished for Scup every summer on Cape Cod, and they do not have the black bands.
Also, sheepshead are very different in body shape from these, which is why I am asking what they are.

They are sheepshead. I use to live near the Gulf Coast and that is what we call them down there.

Just use google image search and search sheepshead. Youll see them.
