once again CDM fantabulous!
and i'm gonna have to compliment your ansorgii and the big congicus again :D looks like your congicus has lightened somewhat. i really like how stocky he is! you don't always see male bichirs like this and to be able to reach this size and still growing...thats like winning the lotto for us bichir keepers :D
LOL, indeed, it's like winning the lotto as a bichir keeper. There's another male congicus in the same tank, it's only 18~19" now, though it's only a year younger than that bulky congicus. The color of the bulky bichir does fade a bit, in fact, the color varies from time to time.

What is APF? Beside owning nice fish, what is your secret to taking studio like pictures? Do you use a very expensive camera with big flash lense? I wish I have a friend like you to help me take great fish pictures. My pictures usually come up crappy.

APF aka Aquatic Photography Forum which is one forum of the Monster Aquaria Networks, it focus on aquatic photography and has great information for aquarium photography plus many skilled aquarium photographers. Anyway, yup, I have Canon 40D (if that means expensive), and some great lens and flash strobes. Those do help a lot for aquarium photography. However, those gears are just the tools. One most important key to good aquatic photography is sufficient lighting. Good lighting gives you faster shutter speed and small aperture size both compose the basic of good aquatic photos. About lighting, the more the better. Some pros say 4 watts per gal is the must, that might gives you some idea.
