Its a shame these need posting as they are pretty much
common sense however
I am very proud of the general level of maturity on this forum.
And I hope to keep it this way.And to that point I am advising
the following behavior will not be tolerated.
1.Flaming
2.insulting others
3.obscene or vulgar language
any of the above three will result in at least the issuing of
infraction points or banning for a period to be determined.

What I expect from the members here is simple
1.Treat others as you wish to be treated.

I am posting this so when it happens there will be no suprises-Anne

I'm all for keeping the level of the forum where it's at. The one point I want to bring out is all 3 of those infractions are fairly general in description and too subjective depending upon the sensitivity issue of the Mod in question.

Also I'm unable to view "Infraction" points under "User Cp"?

i'm moderator in a German aquaristic forum (raubsalmler.de) specialized for ancient fish ... i do know the problems with some people that want to infiltrate a forum trying to make their own dirty verbal war - we call these persons "Trolls", like the stupid monsters from "Lord of the Rings" ...
But for my opinion here are less "Trolls" than in other forums ...

Anne, i think it is good talking about the rules of virtual conversation - even without an actual reason (am i right?).

I do also think you are doing a very very good job as moderator - and the members here do have good behaviour at all! I had never been attacked by anyone here ...

Thanks Uwe we do have great members especially in our Polypterus forum and I want to
keep it this way.I like to think we are a friendly group of keepers who want to exchange
information and help others in the proper care of these fish.There really is no reason to troll,flame,insult mamebers or use obsecne or vulgar language.We have members of all ages,races and beliefs from around the world that participate in this forum and not all speak english as a first language.Tolerance is a wonderful thing and the world would be a far better place if we all followed one simple rule''Treat others as you wish to be treated'-Anne
