Some serious input...

Those won't be true hystrix by the way not for that price, but you've seem to have made your decision

Like I said I really do not like shipping. Burned before and never again unless I'm desperate. No decision has been made yet I need to take a look at them. If I don't like them I will look elsewhere but for the type of ray its going to be Hystrix.

Also what do you mean they won't be true hysrtix? Hybrids?

If at all possible stick with captive bred rays my friend. You will be much happier! Getting a pup from someone on here shipped or not, you will be happy. They will be healthy and strong eaters which is huge. I have never met anyone here trying to screw people over.

You asked for advice and you received good advice - buy a CB from Jason. We all support hobbyists and captive breeding. IF you have something against shipping, despite positive reviews from many of us that have bought rays from Jason before then you're on your own with the pet store garbage.

Something you need to know is hobbyists are in this for the love of their animals. Can you say the same about the store that is likely to peddle mis ID'd, over priced, emaciated, wild caught rays that are likely to need proper quarantine?

You've been warned about not getting true Hystrix. Don't expect anyone here to feel sorry for you when you don't get a true Hystrix cause you won't.

PS congrats on escaping the scrutiny of wanting to keep a fish that easily hits 3' long in a tank that's only 2' wide. Hopefully it doesn't smash the tank like the silver Aro I just watched a vid of on facebook. Security cameras caught the fish popping the seems of its tank. Beings it looks like the tank is in a business after hours I doubt anyone came to the rescue.... Bummer for the fish.

I did receive good advice and no its the shipping itself. I had a few too many bad experiences with dead fish that came in. Next day and lost tons on shipping cost. BTW the owner buys his motoros and hystrix from local breeders and he even had a sign that they are captive bred. He says hystrix come in and sold very fast. You don't even know how nice their motoros are and you call them garbage? For all we know its a hobbyiest on here who sells it to them and before you know all the info on what they have or don't have do not jump to conclusions.

Also why the hell would anyone feel sorry for me if I don't get a true hystrix? Makes no sense.

Please don't talk to me in that condescending tone. I don't appreciate it and talk to me how you would want to be talked to.
Thanks everyone for their comments.

Why ask for advice if your mind is already made up? You're wasting the time of people that choose to reply to you. IF your fish store buys CB from hobbyists then why are you asking if you should buy from them or hobbyists? Makes no sense. Neither does the Hystrix prices.

IF you think I'm talking down to you about the Aro I AM. Too big growing of a fish for your little tank. Don't want my advice? You won't get anymore.

First of all this thread is which kind of Ray I should get. Second of all I never once asked where I should buy them. People suggested me where to buy it themselves. Someone local golf me about a lfs and others about Jason. All I said I can't seem to find them locally. People on him are suggesting I buy from him and I merely said no.

Please do not give me any advice! Thanks
