As I see – here are plenty of fans of those kind of fishes…
Before to begin with the “usual suspects”...,
I want to share a curious photos of my biggest Tetra Congo (3 years old – 10 cm.)
What do you think – is this cousin of Piranha seems enough pretty evil…

Wow. Nice series Hristo. I had a few Congos for about a week. The Tangs killed them quickly.:'(

I like how you created a closer image of each in the series.

You are just getting to be sooooooo good.:-D :-D :-D ;)

OMG. Someone check for scars on that fish.

That's one vicious looking fish. Those are some crazy looking teeth on him.

Seriously, I will never look at those the same way again :) And I almost got a few. Nightmarish. Great job, Hristo. Are you still using just one flash ?

Huuwee, ultra nice. Photos #1 & #2 are so crispy they look encased in ice, especially #2. But wonder what that strange BG with the red markings is?

No, your fish don't look evil to me ... :-D

Woah.... Imagine if they were 30cm long!!!

I feel a theme thread coming up - fish and their teeth !!! In that last picture it looks almost like a snarl doesn't it - scary...

I want to finish Congo’s part of that thread with some shots of my Tetra Congo Gold.
First, one photo of Tetra Congo female to make any compares with “gold” variety:

As you see, the “golden” nuance is always in combination with other reflecting colors from the tanks interior…

My daughter Gabby saw that tread and upbraid me for that I was present one of her also favorite T.Congo fishes,
like very ugly and horrible…
That because, I promised her to finish really that part of T.Congo with something “beautiful”…:-P
Taking these shots, I had try to catch more details and to a nicety colors of the fishes…

That is one curious result:
The next 2 pictures are not cropped!
On the first, I tried to frame the pair in the center with enough space around…
but then all the fishes details aren’t seem so clear…

On the second photo, just a few millimeters closer and centred only the male – the details are much expressive…B-)

The other curious was about the lightning(flashing)…
You may compare the difference between - shooting with a flash above the tank...
and shooting straight in front the fish... with this two close ups:

The colors are real, not photoshoped…What do you think about…!?

I believe it is due to the underlying colour of the fish under the scales when we flash the fish from the front. Whereas when the flash is from the top, the flash is used for illuminating the object as a whole. But you noticed that the top also showing the blue? Same situation...

Wow, really nice shots there, however, that post-processing bevel framing just isn't doing it for me. I don't know what others think, but I don't think they work for photos, especially photos of this caliber! :nice:
