Yeah, Jim's photos inspire me to make a couple of snapshots of my Black Tetras - Gymnocorymbus ternetzi
That Tetras specimen is not much photogenic, but as you see...after flashing the male - he becomes almost "golden"...:)

Nice thread and I'm glad to see it come back to life. You have inspired me to give my emperor tetras another go. They have so much color but it's really difficult to bring that out in a photo. Lighting must hit at the perfect angle or else....nothing!

Your hatchet fish pics knock me out lol. Incredible
