@tigerlover2006, thanks! they've always been more or less this color, before using this substrate. i have to say i've never used dark substrate, so don't know what color they would have in that case.
I have had one congicus before which was more or less beige in colour when I brought him home. After putting him in my 522 for two months, he turned completely dark greenish in colour. For my 2nd and third congicus, the same thing happened again, so I believe congicus in dark tanks will turn greenish green.
Any hobbyist with other opinions?
