Some thoughts on breeding Nerite snails.

Nerites don't breed in freshwater so I doubt I will be drowning in them. Even if I am, they have not been imported here in months so I can easily sell them on.

Nerites breed easily in freshwater, only that the larvae won’t survive in freshwater. They must be moved to saltwater and fed with plankton, which is more trouble than worth the effort.
