Some Turtles

Oh i see. Do you know how he filtered them miguel, or did he just do water changes? Hope your new turtles have settled in. How do you keep yours?

I keep mine in filtered tanks. Heavy duty filtration and the same wc protocol of fish.

The spanish guy does daily water canges, no filters. But then again his main stock is earth turtles

The 5th picture from top is a smiling happy turtle..what kind is he?? These turtles are wonderful... never saw them before.. what a mouth on the first guy.. he is not shy for the camera at all.. great turtles miguel.. wow

Ironically, i went to a petshop today with a girl friend of mine. she fell in love with a turtle that looked exactly like that "common snapper" you pointed out (smiling). It was, however, labeled as a painted turtle. Though the shell was a pretty consistent dark brown.
Was what we saw really a common snapper if it had that same smile? Or is it possible for painteds to have that smile?
