im not 100% sure...but with my lil one...im already suspecting a male....due to some male features are showing....like tall bodied....lots of blue freckles...large aggression...appetite...large colorations and growing some trailors....but the fact in figuring out the sex at a young age say bigger than 2" but smaller than 6" is very difficult to positively ID.

They can be skittish when young but should not be shy with eating. Water should be pristine. A little more tolerable when young but be ready for lots of water changes. I hear alot of umbees are brutal after they hit 12", but my boy seems the exception. He is very calm, always begs for food. I can only get him to flare when I stick my face in front of him.
